COVID Safety Plan

Nothing is more important than the health and safety of all that visit our theatres. To ensure that we keep everyone as safe as is reasonably possible the Capitol Theatre introduced an array of COVID Safety protocols that remain in place today. These requirements may change based on advice from NSW Health, so please be sure to visit this page prior to your visit for the most up to date information for the latest information. Updated 29 November 2022.

MASKS ARE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED: Masks are highly recommended at all times you are in the theatre for those aged 12+.

CAPACITY LIMITS & SEATING CONFIGURATION: The Capitol Theatre may play up to 100% capacity at each performance. Patrons may be seating in our regular seating configuration with no physical distancing between seats.

AUDITORIUM ACCESS: Our auditorium doors will open 30 minutes prior to show time to allow plenty of time for you to move safely to your seat. Once you have purchased food & beverage, merchandise and visited the restrooms, we ask that you move swiftly to your seat to avoid crowding in the foyers.

THEATRE BARS: Theatre and auditorium bars will be open.

CASHLESS: All of our outlets are cashless, and we can only accept contactless payments at our bars, box office and merchandise shops.

SANITISE, SANITISE, SANITISE: We will have hand sanitising stations located at several points of the theatre for your use. Please make sure to use these regularly during your visit.

CONTINUOUS CLEANING: Our theatre foyers and auditorium receive a professional clean daily and our professional cleaning staff remain on site throughout every performance to constantly clean washrooms and high traffic areas.

AIRFLOW & VENTILATION: The venues air-conditioning system will use maximum capability for outside air in ventilation and both venues will operate at 100% outside air capacity with no recirculating of air.
