When visiting our theatre, you will comply by the Conditions of Entry current at the time of the performance you are attending.

Transport Info

  • Train

    Capitol Theatre is a five-minute walk from Central Station. Exit at Eddy Avenue and walk across Belmore Park. Plan your trip by train.

  • Bus

    The nearest stops are: Pitt St near Campbell St, Hay St near Pitt St and Pitt St near Eddy Avenue. Plan your trip by bus.

  • Driving

    The Sydney Light Rail is now operational and permanent traffic changes are now in place on and around George Street. Motorists should use Pitt Street and turn left into Campbell Street and should note Campbell Street is left turn only to George Street. This may affect the amount of time that it takes for you to drive & park near the theatre. Motorists in vehicles over 12.5 metres should not use Campbell Street west of Pitt Street. Taking public transport may be the most efficient and reliable option, particularly when you are travelling in the peak time between 5-7pm in the evening.
